Lou Olvido-Parroco, a pure Cadiznon and one of our Cadizeno Awardees, has been selected as one of the 100 Most Influential Filipino Women in the World by the Filipina Women's Network during a Gala Awards Ceremony at the 14th Filipina Leadership Global Summit held in Toronto, Canada last October 25 – 29.
Ms. Parroco has been honored with the BUILDER award category for she has demonstrated exceptional organizational impact at a large workplace environment; displayed deep passion for a cause through collaborative initiatives or alliances with institutions, corporations or nonprofit organizations on behalf of her own company; and demonstrated high potential and skill with measurable results at a government agency, higher education institution, nonprofit or an organization in the public and private sectors.
“Buildership” is about building better organizations, leading broken organizations to adjust, repair, and re-align including redefining traditional methods.
Currently, Ms. Parroco is the Human Resources Director at Canadian Energy Equipment Manufacturing (CEEM), a free zone enterprise based in the U. A. E. that designs and fabricates a wide range of surface equipment for the oil and gas industry.
Prior to joining CEEM, she was the Global Human Resources Manager for LMKR, a petroleum technology company with a worldwide operations. As the Global HR Manager, she managed the entire human resources teams and functions across four geographical operations namely, a.) North & South America, b.) Europe, Middle East & Africa, c.) Southwest Asian Countries, and d.) Asia Pacific and Australian Continent.
She has also worked with other Fortune 500 companies such as Johnson Controls Incorporated, and Schlumberger.
A fully certified and credentialed Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner and Life Coach (www.louandyou.net), she holds a progressively rolling HR career track of more than two decades.
A 1990 Class Salutatorian of Dr. Vicente F. Gustilo Memorial National High School in Cadiz City, Ms. Parroco who is married to Cesar Julius Parroco, has a degree in Psychology from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Bacolod City, and currently completing a doctorate degree majoring in Leadership and Change Management from The Open University of Switzerland.
